Winners are drawn live using a verifiable random process once the draw date arrives. Draws are streamed so everything is fully transparent.
The main draw still goes ahead on the published date — that winner is guaranteed regardless of how many tickets are sold.
Instant win prizes work differently. Each one is assigned to a specific entry position before entries open, so it is only won if the competition sells that many entries — instant win prizes on positions we don’t reach are not awarded.
On most physical prizes you can choose the cash alternative instead. The amount is shown on the competition page.
